The Artist

A life painted between two worlds.

Born on April 8, 1975, in Flor de Punga, Loreto, Peru. Cocama heritage. Ninth of thirteen children. Painter, ecologist, plant-medicine practitioner.

Moisés grew up between river and rainforest, learning to fish, hunt, farm and heal with plants. His artistic talent appeared at seven, drawing what nature and spirit showed him. A serious childhood illness was healed by a local shaman — an experience that would quietly shape the rest of his path.

In the late eighties his family moved to Pucallpa. Financial hardship interrupted school, but he worked, returned to his studies, and was eventually recognised by a priest who urged him to pursue painting. He joined the Usko Ayar Amazonian School of Painting, founded by Pablo Amaringo, where he sharpened both his brushwork and his English.

At the close of the nineties he traveled to Finland to paint a mural in Helsinki — his first international voyage. Back home he founded the Ecological Artist Club, devoted to rainforest preservation and indigenous tradition. After graduating he toured Peru exhibiting his work, settled in Iquitos and opened a gallery there.

Years in Europe followed — exhibitions in Switzerland, Holland and beyond — and then the call turned inward. He accepted a spiritual vocation, returned to the Amazon, and trained for years in plant medicine and shamanic practice.

Today his life weaves three threads together: art, ecology and healing. He paints, he teaches, and he guides others through their own visions, believing that destiny is shaped consciously — through balance of body, mind, emotion and spirit.
